Meet the Officers

Br Afif

Afif Mohammed – President:
It is an honor to serve as the President of MCMC. I have previously served as Secretary and Treasurer at MCMC, and also held the Treasurer position at NJ Dawah and ISNJ Masjid. I am a civil engineer by profession and enjoy playing badminton and exploring diverse cuisines. I am deeply committed to working together with our community to strengthen unity, enhance our programs, support our families, and grow both spiritually and socially. With your continued du’as, support, and collaboration, I look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by those before us. May Allah guide us and accept our efforts.

Br Ahmed

Ahmed Iqbal – Secretary:
I was born and raised in Madinah Munawwarah and have been in the U.S. for over 16 years. MCMC was the very first masjid I visited here and from that moment, it felt like home.

Professionally, I have a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Rutgers and work as a Vice President in Technology at a global financial institution.

Over the years, I’ve been actively involved at MCMC, volunteering across various committees and helping initiate and lead multiple programs focused on community service and dawah. I’ve also been leading the Outreach Committee, with a focus on interfaith work, civic engagement, and building bridges within and beyond our community.

As secretary, I look forward to continuing this work and ensuring MCMC remains a welcoming space for all. I'm excited for this opportunity to serve and grow with you, Insha’Allah!

Br Khaled

Khaled Zayed – Treasurer:
I have been a long-standing member of the MCMC community and currently lead the MCMC Community Development Committee and the MCMC Security and Safety Committee. I became an MCMC Shura member in 2021. I moved to New Jersey from Alaska 15 years ago to pursue my PhD and was one of the co-founders of the first Alaska Masjid. Now, I work as an IT leader in New York City and teach IT and cybersecurity courses at local colleges and universities. I also coach several MCMC kids and youth soccer teams and organize multiple sports teams for local tournaments each year, like the Islamic Games.
