What is MAKTAB ?<\/h3>\n

Maktab<\/strong>\u00a0is an\u00a0After School Program<\/strong>, specially designed to teach\u00a0Quran\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Basic Islamic Knowledge<\/strong>, to school going children.<\/p>\n

The program offers\u00a0Daily Quran Learning<\/strong>(Qaidah & Nazrah<\/strong>) and\u00a0Core Islamic Subjects.<\/strong>\u00a0The Islamic Subjects are based on the \u201cTasheel series<\/strong>\u201d curriculum. The Tasheel series was developed by Ulama and Educators in South Africa and has gained tremendous popularity in English Speaking countries. Quran component focuses on improvement in reading. Memorization of Surahs included.<\/p>\n

The goal of Maktab program is to provide an Islamic environment on school days; to develop well mannered Muslim children with strong faith. Therefore the Maktab policy: \u201cPublic School ON, Maktab ON; Public School OFF Maktab OFF<\/strong>\u201c.\u00a0 MCMC Maktab follows Piscataway public school calendar. As a result the students connect Maktab program, to their regular school.<\/p>\n

**Important Update:<\/strong>\u00a0Maktab program has extended to Middle school students. All students up to 8th Grade welcome to enroll.<\/p>\n
