“A hadith which motivated me throughout this program and helped me get thought it is طلبُ العلمِ فَريضةٌ على كلِ مُسلم, which means “It is is an obligation upon every Muslim to seek knowledge.” This hadith was very important to me because it showed not only the importance of seeking knowledge in this world but also how beneficial it will be for the next life. It encouraged me to push through with the program and learn as much as I could. I would also like to thank the teachers who I appreciate for teaching us so well, as well as my classmates who I also learned from. I would also like to thank the girls in the years below us who I learned from when my class taught them. Overall I am very grateful for this program and happy that we are graduating. “My time at AIE has been memorable and beneficial as I have learned more about fiqh, aqeedah, the Quran, and the life of the Prophet (SAW). This class has provided us with a deep understanding of the principles and teachings of Islam and the rights and wrongs of life. Through the study of the Quran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we have gained valuable insights about how a Muslim should lead their lives, and benefit themselves as well as others. We have learned to apprehend these teachings, implement them on our lives, as well as teach them to others. Sr. Samia and Sr. Zakera have worked really hard and did their best to teach all of us how to be better Muslims. “I genuinely had a much better time at AIE than I expected to. My expectations of this program being fun and enjoyable, I admit, weren’t very high. I was just coming here to learn about our religion and gain knowledge. But what I got at the end of these two years was so much more than that. I learned so, so much more about Islam, and so many different aspects of it too. I learned the Arabic language and grammar, fiqh, Aqeedah, the Seerah of the Prophet (SAW), and a lot more. And all this knowledge definitely helped me grow closer to our religion. But aside from that, I created new friendships, both with the other girls and even the teachers. I created life-lasting bonds with these people: people who made this program such an enjoyable and memorable experience for me. So, for this reason, I thank all the amazing teachers here; Sr. Samia, Sr. Fatema, and Sr. Zakera, as well as all my classmates.

I can really say that I understand Arabic a lot better than when I first began this program and my understanding of Islam is also much stronger.
