Testimonials:

Muntaha Naveed (Level 1)

I am a Level 1 graduate of the AIE program. I want to take a moment to share my experience in this class. While I learned many valuable lessons about Islam through our Akhlaq class and the history of our Prophet (SAW) through Seerah, the one thing I will remember the most is the people I shared this class with. What made the class even more enjoyable was the environment. Every day felt welcoming, and a big reason for that was the people I shared it with. Being surrounded by my friends made learning more engaging and made even the busiest school days feel a little easier. Whether we were participating in class discussions, working on assignments, or just talking before class started, there was always a sense of community.

As I reflect on this year, I am grateful not only for the lessons I learned but also for the experiences I shared with my classmates. Advanced Islamic Studies was more than just another class in my schedule, it was a place where I learned, laughed, reflected, and built stronger connections with the people around me.

Ifrah Zaffar (Level 2)

My experience at AIE for the past three years has been nothing but a blessing. I have learned so much and grew as a person tremendously. The teachers I had were nothing but amazing and I felt comfortable around them all. Sister Samia being the supportive person that she is, has helped me progress in my Islamic studies and always was genuine. She is someone I can come to with any problem that I might face because she is an honest and kind person. All of the teachers have such nice qualities, they are selfless and only want what’s best for their students. You will surely learn a lot from this program. It offers various subjects and allows you to gain the Islamic knowledge you need as a Muslim. Most of us are in school or college, and it may be hard to always attend. However, when you put in the effort, you will see how much it can help you and change you for the better. Not only have I learned so much from this program but I have made life long connections with these girls. I have people I can rely on and go to for help whenever. Not only with the students but also the teachers. The environment in AIE is very welcoming and positive, every class I leave with new retained information and memories with my friends. I can’t wait to continue on with this journey for another year!

Maha Afshar (Level 2)

When I first started this course, I was filled with excitement and curiosity. That excitement has grown into deep appreciation and love for this journey of learning. The Prophet (saw) says: “Whoever takes a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah (swt) will make the path to Paradise easy for them” (sahih Muslim). Looking back through these past three years, I can really see this hadith being applied to my life. Through every quiz, discussion, note taking, and many late night reviews — I learned we all weren’t just completing this program we were paving our paths to Jannah.

Of course things got difficult but through those difficulties if we remain steadfast our reward will be greater! School and work didn’t always make it easy to study. But with the help of Allah (swt), and the support of those around me (especially my family and friends, I pushed through). And through this class I’ve seen us all grow so much.

To our teachers: your patience (and Alhamdulilah you truly have soooo much patience) your passion, and your sincerity have been inspiring! You didn’t just teach us Arabic or explain the Hadiths— you modeled what it looks like to live by Islam and live by it daily. May Allah reward you all immensely. Ameen! The Prophet ? said: “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teaches it.” (Bukhari) Knowledge elevates. It shapes our hearts, refines our actions, and brings us closer to Allah (swt). As we continue into the next levels of this program, may we walk forward with humility and a passion for more. May we remain connected to Allah (swt) in everything that we do.

Mahnoor Afshar (Level 2)

Alhamdulliah as we reach this momentous graduation for the year 2 level 1 and 2 students it’s a beautiful time to reflect on. And I know I’m not a graduating student, but let’s take a moment to take an imperative look back on our achievements of this year, and more importantly the people who helped us through. Let’s thank our mothers for giving us this chance. After all I’m sure I’m not the only one who can confess that I wouldn’t be where I stand today (at this graduation) without your insistence to put me into this class in the first place. Thank you for pushing me to continue my journey in the pursuit of Islamic knowledge even as I walk onto the next stage of my life.

After all, the prophet (saw) said: “Indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge”. Thank you for the chance to meet new friends and teachers that have had such a strong positive impact on my life. People who are genuine role models, and friends who are good to be around. Thank you to all my teachers, who serve as wonderful role models but also specifically Sister Samia, you were always there for me answering my questions minutes after I would send them and sending me all the information under the sun. Thank you to my besties who I’ve spent way too many Friday Nights and Saturday mornings cramming study plans and guides until 1 in the morning. Thank you to my sister Maha, you encouraged me to run way too many red lights in our quest to get to class on time (with Wawa in hand), and for of course being the ultimate study buddy.

Fatimah Mansoor (Level 1)

I am a Level 1 graduate, and I would like to share my experience with everyone. Each class at AIE made me better understand Islam and how to become a better Muslim in society. In the subject of Aqeedah, I learned about the beliefs of Islam, which helped me strengthen my faith and I learned of the importance of trusting Allah (SWT) in all situations. In the subject of Akhlaq, I learned about proper character and how Muslims should treat others. This encouraged me to improve my behavior with everyone I interact with. Furthermore in Akhlaq, I learned manners and etiquette, the importance of respecting parents, family, teachers, elders, and my peers. Akhlaq taught me good manners are an important part of faith. Overall, this class helped me grow religiously and spiritually, and I gained valuable knowledge that I can apply in my life, and inshaAllah I can countinue learning about islam and becoming a better Muslim.

Aisha Mansoor (Level 2)

I’m a Level 2 student in AIE, but I’m also a college student. Even in my busy life with school and work, taking AIE classes are such an important part of my life to set time aside for my deen while also maintaining a deep connection to the Quran. I hope everyone will consider AIE, as the time it takes is very beneficial and the course materials in Quranic tafseer with the word for word translation, Arabic grammar, and hadeeth will make a lasting impact in your lives. Taking the time out in our busy lives may be hard, but the lasting impact it will have is worth it!
