1. Chef’s Knife – $40 Amazon
https://tinyurl.com/mcmc-chefknife
You really need to have a good quality Chef’s knife, and this was the #1 rated by America’s Test Kitchen at a very affordable price.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
2. Whisks – $6.67 Walmart
https://tinyurl.com/mcmc-whisk
You may have a rubber whisk at home but I doubt you have a flat one :). So for $6 at Walmart this is a great deal (the flat ones are used for scraping the bottom on the pan)
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
3. Polypropylene Cutting Board – $18 Costco
https://tinyurl.com/mcmc-cuttingboard
If you have a wooden cutting board that’s fine, but I highly recommend you buy a polypropylene one, as it is gentler on your knife edge and iss dishwasher safe (which makes for easy cleaning). Costco has a 3-piece set in store which is great because you’ll always have one handy if the other’s being cleaned.

4. Honing Steel -$13 Amazon
https://tinyurl.com/mcmc-honing
If you already have one then no need to buy
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
5. 10” Non-Stick Frying Pan
If you have a frying pan, please make sure that it’s 1) Non-Stick and 2) Not scratched. I personally prefer the copper ones because they’re PFOA-free.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
6. Vegetable Peeler:
https://tinyurl.com/mcmc-peeler
If you already have one then no need to buy
